　　傳說屈原死后，楚國百姓悲痛欲絕。紛紛來到泊羅江邊打撈屈原的尸體。漁夫們劃著船在江上來回尋找，有位漁夫拿出為屈原準(zhǔn)備的飯團(tuán)、雞蛋等食物丟進(jìn)江里，說是讓魚、龍蝦、蟹吃飽了就不會去咬屈原的身體了。人們見后紛紛效仿。一位老醫(yī)師還拿來一壇雄黃酒倒進(jìn)江里，希望蛟龍水獸喝了以后暈倒，就不會去傷害屈原的身體。后來人們怕蛟龍把飯團(tuán)吃掉，就用楝樹葉包上飯，外面纏上彩線，變成粽子丟進(jìn)江里。
