　　But there has been a misconception. Flowers are mainly associated with feminine gender. It is forgotten that men to have a soft side to them. Gift your father a bouquet of flowers on Father's Day and he surely will be overjoyed. Flowers, especially architectural and bold like tropical flowers, which are masculine, long lasting, tall and sturdy like the fathers usually are, can be given. White and Red Rose are known to be the official flowers of Father's Day. People wear a white rose to honor a father who has deceased and a red rose for a father who is living.

　　Men love bright, hot, bold and aggressive colors like yellows, oranges, purples and reds and the arrangements that they go for are mostly the linear ones that are in sync with their organized, calculating mind. They also love the natural and contemporary floral bouquets that are stylish and trendy. One may opt for roses, daisies or exotic flowers, if only one keeps the color theme in mind. Vivid red roses and yellow daisies are loved by most men and thus make ideal flowers to be gifted on Father's Day

　　You are always like a mighty mountain, carrying the world on your shoulders. You are always like a broad river, embracing all happiness and sorrow to your bosom. You are always like a solid bridge, assisting me to go through tribulations and hardships. You are always like a firm boat, taking me across all the storms and waves in life…

　　As a father, you are successful, for you have brought your two daughters into successes envied by others. As a husband, you are admirable, for you have been taking good care of your tender wife all the year round. As a son, you are famous and adorable, for you have been so kind to your parents and your wife’s that everyone around turned up their thumbs on you. And as a doctor, you are regretless, for all the folks in the town think highly of your medical techniques and ethics. But how could you be so miserable with your own son?

　　When all the village folks came to bid the last farewell to your son, you squatted there as if you were crawling on the ground. You said you had done everything in that way just for the sake of saving our mother, you said you hadn’t expected it like that and you said…

　　So I came to believe that the HEAVEN is jealous of the real talents, and I thought that your son was trying to escape from this earthly world in front of his seventy-year-old grandmother…

　　However, it was too late. How much did it take you to send your little son -- apple of your eye, pride of your soul -- to the hearse with your own hands? 　　As your little daughter, a copy of you, my dear father, I was the only pride you’d like to boast and the only source where you derived all your happiness in those three years. But only your little daughter knew what it meant for you to lose such a remarkable and excellent son in the feudal atmosphere at that time. And only your little daughter knew what would brought to the family with her every single word or deed. 　　尊敬的各位老師，親愛的同學(xué)們：

　　早上好!今天我們國旗下講話的題目是《感恩父親》。

　　每年六月份的第三個星期日是父親節(jié)。

　　在人類愛的長河里，父愛和母愛一樣偉大。同學(xué)們不妨仔細(xì)地想一想，在你懵懵的記憶里，是誰整日用寬大的手掌撐起你，是誰用粗硬的胡須親昵你，是誰用厚實(shí)的肩膀馱著你，又是誰整天跪在地上讓你盡享騎馬的樂趣?是父親，正是那無私無畏的父親。

　　父親也常常出現(xiàn)在我們的課本里頭，還記得嗎?《釣魚的啟示》里父親告誡的話語：“道德只是個簡單的是與非的問題，實(shí)踐起來卻很難。”

　　《通往廣場的不止一條》中，登塔遠(yuǎn)眺的時候，父親和藹地說：“通往廣場的路不止一條。生活也這樣，假如你發(fā)現(xiàn)走這條路不能到達(dá)目的地的話，就可以走另外一條路試試!”

　　也記得《落花生》里的徹夜長談：“你們要像花生一樣，它雖然不好看，可是很有用。”

　　父親的話就這樣深深地印在我們的腦海里，印在我們的心上。就像高爾基說的：父愛就像一本震撼心靈的書，讀懂這本書，就讀懂了整個人生。

　　如果說母愛如水，柔美細(xì)膩、源遠(yuǎn)流長;那么父愛一定如山，粗曠豁達(dá)、氣吞江海。難怪人們會選擇一年之中陽光最炙熱的6月來過父親節(jié)，原來它蘊(yùn)含著的是父親給予子女的最真摯、最火熱的愛。

　　最后，希望在父親節(jié)這個特殊的日子里，讓我們懷著真誠的心，一起唱響《爸爸去哪兒》，與此同時對自己的父親說聲：“親愛的爸爸，您辛苦了。我會付出行動，做一個值得您驕傲的好孩子。”
