　　包公園前身是包河公園，位于合肥老一環南環外，河區蕪湖路。為紀念包公千年誕辰，在包河公園原有的基礎上重新規劃建設了包公文化園，簡稱“包公園”，是國家AAAA級旅游景區，除包公祠、包公墓外，還新建了清天閣、包公紀念館、功德廣場、水面噴泉等。整個風景區莊嚴肅穆，環境優美;湖面波光漣漪，游艇蕩漾;兩岸垂柳婆娑，嘉木蔥蘢，是人們拜謁先賢、觀賞游覽的好去處。

　　包公墓是包拯及其夫人、子孫遺骨所葬之地，占地三公頃，目前是國內一座比較完整的古代名臣墓園。1062年包公去世于河南開封，次年，其女婿文效將其靈柩運回合肥，歸葬故里。他一生為官多年，最高官至樞密副使，為北宋二品官，因此，墓園大小結構皆按宋代二品官葬制而建。整個墓園蒼松翠柏、肅穆幽靜。包公墓定位于“文物包公”，主墓為“覆斗型”方墓，在其正下方的墓室內安放有包拯墓志銘和金絲楠木棺，棺木內斂包拯遺骨。

　　這副棺具木料的來歷還有一段千古奇緣：包公原葬棺具即為金絲楠木，因年代久遠已經腐朽，為了符合歷史史實，我們依舊取材金絲楠木，但這種木料很難尋找，當時工作人員跑遍了很多山林，終于在福建省漳州市南靖縣的一個高山村里找到了。當年高山村的山林被一位老人承包，巧合的是這位老人也姓包，名為包浩源，是包公第35代孫。老人聽說是為包公找尋棺具用材，非常激動，親自帶著兒孫爬上山頭砍伐22棵金絲楠木執意無償捐贈給我們，做成了這副棺具。您可以說這是一種巧合，也可以說是一段千古奇緣，但這卻表明了包公清廉的品質是實實在在的，因為時隔近千年，重做包公棺具時，卻是由他的后代來提供木材，不用國家一分錢，的確再一次體現了包公的清廉風范。
